POCATELLO, Idaho - Head Coach Gretchen Maloney announced the signing of Asem Shoybek on Tuesday. Shoybek, a native of Kazakstan, will join the Bengals in the fall of 2024.
"We are really looking forward to Asem joining us. She's got a very strong powerful game and her experience in both singles and doubles should help us tremendously. She's played at a high-level internationally, which will transfer over nicely to college tennis."
Shoybek shared her thoughts on choosing ISU, "I chose Idaho State because I think it is a good university and great experience for me. I believe that ISU will help me to develop my sport and learning skills"
Shoybek is the first commit in the Bengal's class of 2024.
