Idaho State Civic Symphony welcomes soprano soloist Kristin Renee Young for September 27th performance

Roy Handy

Dr. Nell Flanders, Idaho State Civic Symphony Artistic Director and Conductor and the guest soprano soloist for the September 27th Civic Symphony performance, Kristin Renee Young, join KISU’s Jamon Anderson for a conversation about Samuel Barber’s Knoxville: Summer of 1915. Young will join the symphony to perform the piece this Friday night at the ISU Performing Arts Center.

Later this week, look for the second part of our conversation with Dr. Flanders about the other two pieces performed this Friday, To Make this Mountain Taller by Sarah Gibson and Rachnaninoff’s Symphonic Dances.

More information and tickets for ISCS performances are at ISCSymphony.org

Tickets are also available by calling the ISU Boxoffice, 282-3595.
