Krystoff Kissoon

Host of Navigating Diversity

Krystoff Kissoon began his academic career at Idaho State University in Spring 2014. He is an
international student from Trinidad & Tobago, a twin-isle state in the Southern Caribbean. He
graduated in May 2017 with a Bachelor’s in Political Science and International Studies, and a
minor in Spanish. He is now pursuing a Master’s in Political Science at Idaho State and is
expected to graduate in May 2019. During his time at ISU, he has served in a number of
leadership positions including Public Relations Coordinator and President of the International
Students Association, and held various jobs across campus in the Office of Marketing and
Communications, Creative Productions, the Department of Political Science, and the Office of
Alumni Relations. He presented papers at the Midwest Political Science Association Conference
2018, and his research interests include Identity Politics and Comparative Politics. He is
currently serving his third consecutive year as a Senator in the Associated Students of Idaho
State University, now representing the Graduate School, and previously served as the Senate
Pro Tempore. His goals include working in the public sector and civil society, earning a doctoral
degree, and travelling the world. He believes that all of humanity is one person, and how we
treat others is how we treat ourselves. He hopes to use this platform to inspire others to become
the best version of themselves.
