Occupations are the things that we need and want to do, and the things that are meaningful to us. Occupational therapists are health professionals who use occupation and meaningful activities with specific goals to help people of all ages prevent, lessen, or adapt to disabilities. Today’s occupational therapists are working in a variety of settings, including clinical practice, community outreach, education, research, private practice, and many other diverse areas.
