Inspiring Educators is a radio show from the ISU College of Education. This half-hour show featuring conversations with alumni, students, and supporters of the Idaho State College of Education is hosted by Dean Jean McGivney Burelle, PhD

The College of Education prepares students for meaningful careers focused on improving the lives of others. Our graduates go on to serve and lead in diverse contexts, including K-12 schools, businesses, community organizations, higher education, and more. In addition to providing a range of programs at the bachelors, masters and doctoral level, the College of Education offers minors and certificates to help students strengthen their resumes and prepare them for the workplace. With a focus on learning by doing and reflective practice, our students graduate ready to excel and to change lives.

Rita and her late husband, Terry, were educators in the Pocatello School District for over 30 years. Rita shares her experiences at ISU, meeting Terry, working as an educator, and why she started an endowment with the College of Education. Host Dean Jean also interviews Cheri Kerr, the recipient of Rita and Terry's scholarship about how she decided to become a teacher and what this scholarship means to her.
