On today’s episode, Emily Jahsman interviews Dr. Irene Van Woerden, Program Director and Associate Professor for the Master of Public Health program at Idaho State University.

Originally from New Zealand, Irene started her academic career in chemistry and statistics before adding in her interest in public health. This background has helped her bring a unique perspective to the field of public health, where she brings her passion for statistics to her students. Irene has traveled extensively, followed her interests and landed in a fulfilling job where she inspires others.

A self proclaimed multipotentialite, Emily's professional journey has taken her from for-profit to non-profit to higher ed where she currently enjoys her time. Emily's intrepid spirit has led her across the globe including a five year stopover in Australia, treks through numerous jungles, and forays into farming.
