The Nez Perce tribe is working on a long-term project to make their community sustainable and energy independent. Chantel Green, the natural resource planner for the tribe, explains they have successfully installed a solar-powered microgrid to power selected buildings and banks of Tesla megapack for energy storage. The sustainability plan also includes workforce training and career development in solar energy. It is all part of the Nez Perce’s plan to reach net zero emissions and set an example as a community promoting sustainability.
