In the third episode of this three-part series, SI host Jodie Schwicht speaks with local fashion designer Cartier Dior Eliasen. In this final episode, Cartier highlights efforts she has made in her own clothing brand's production process, reiterates sustainability solutions available to consumers, and discusses how we may mitigate our impact on the environment through conscientious clothing habits.

Clothing and fast fashion have major impacts on our environment; everything from diminishing our water supplies, creation of plastic-based synthetic materials, contribution to landfill waste, and massive oil and gas usage during shipment.

Our impact on the environment is inevitable, but it does not have to be without intention— no matter where in the world you live. While we can’t stop the production of fast fashion in its entirety, consumers have power over their personal environmental impact by way of limiting their consumption, investing into quality items, and shopping secondhand
