Bonneville County Master Gardeners program

Today, about 80% of households in the U.S. participate in some form of gardening and most rely on the internet for help. Although the internet is full of useful information, it can be difficult to discern between good and bad information; even for expert gardeners. The University of Idaho extension not only want to assist you in finding answers to those questions, but it also want to help people grow!

One of the ways we do this is by providing gardeners with our immersive 14-week program that prepares them to become a master in home horticulture. This is not your usual informal gardening program. The Idaho Master Gardener Program helps educate Idaho’s citizens on important gardening skills, as well as develop a deeper understanding of resource utilization, healthy lifestyle choices, and more.

By taking this course you can become a certified Idaho Master Gardener and earn university credits! For those who are interested, classes are every Tuesday night from 6-9 pm beginning January 14th till April 7th at 1542 E 73rd S., Idaho Falls, ID 83404. The deadline for the program application is January 6th, spots are limited so don’t wait!
