The Bengal Business Radio Show examines a wide range of business topics across industries and highlights the impact of our ISU College of Business faculty and alumni.  Each episode features an ISU College of Business alumni who is a senior executive at a leading organization sharing their experiences, thoughts on current business related events, and advice for business professionals and entrepreneurs.  In addition, each episode features an interview with an ISU College of Business professor where they discuss their research,  the impact it has on helping to solve current business problems and innovative things they are working on in the classroom.

Dr. Shane Hunt meets with Sandee Gehrke, a proud ISU College of Business Alum and Vice President of System Operations at St. Luke's hospital. Also joining Dr. Hunt is Ann Swanson, Director of the Southeast Idaho Small Business Development Center, and Chase Downs, a Graduate student of ISU who's working with Swanson.


Dr. Shane Hunt, host of Bengal Business, meets with Kelly Hirning, and ISU Alum and the owner of Hirning Buick GMC Pocatello dealership. Also joining him is Neal Tocher, Chair of the Department of Management & Marketing, and Tara Smith, Director of Undergraduate Programs in the College of Business.


This month we have ISU College of Business alum Roger Akers talking about his career and the advice he has for entrepreneurs as well as Marketing Professor Dr. Nicole Hansen discussing the future of marketing research and how consumer behavior has changed during the pandemic.

  

For the December edition of Bengal Business Dr. Shane Hunt welcomes Tamela Gates May, Director of North America Security Channels for IBM, and Dr. Bob Houghton, Associate Dean of the ISU College of Business and Professor of Informatics. 


Dr. Shane Hunt welcomes Kristal Searle, CFO of Stinker Stores, to talk about the company's growth and how they've overcome challenges related to COVID-19. Hunt also welcomes Daniel Kim, a Health Care Administration professor at ISU to talk about the opportunities waiting for students in the healthcare field.
