As 2024 gets underway, animal shelters across America are continuing to see an increase in pet surrenders, especially when it comes to dogs, and Idaho is no different.
 
With adoptions down, nonprofits like the West Valley Humane Society are working harder than ever to find forever homes for their many pups.

Jennifer Adkins, the Executive Director of West Valley Humane Society, joined Idaho Matters to talk more about this issue.
