POCATELLO, Idaho – Idaho State softball players Alyssa Yee and Jordan Schuring have been named Big Sky Conference player and pitcher of the week.
This is the first conference award for both of the Bengals
Alysaa Yee had a very strong offensive performance at the 2023 Cowgirl Classic hosted at McNeese State University this past weekend.
Over five games played, the Bengal freshman hit .533 including the first two home runs of her career and the first triple of the Big Sky Conference season.
Her eight total hits scored six runs and five RBIS. Yee Finished the tournament with a 1.067 slugging percentage and .588 on base percentage.
In the outfield, Yee also added 10 putouts to her statline.
This past weekend, Jordan Schuring led the Bengals' pitching staff at the 2023 Cowgirl Classic at McNeese State.
The Bengal transfer pitcher threw 12.2 innings with a 1.42 ERA. Over 12.2 innings pitched, Schuring only allowed three runs, one extra-base hit and struck out five batters
