Bengals Announce Kirkwood Standout Signing

POCATELLO, Idaho – Idaho State women's basketball has announced the next signee for the 2023-24 season. Taisa Jordan comes to the Bengals after playing the previous two seasons at Kirkwood Community College. The 5-11 Guard and Malrose Park, Illinois native comes to Idaho State boasting an extremely impressive resume.

Her accolades include winning a national championship in 2022 and being named the national tournament MVP.

In 2023 Taisa was named to the NJCAA All-America First team and was also named a WBCA All-America.

In her time at Kirkwood, Taisa averaged 15.1ppg shooting 53.8 percent from the field 30.2 percent from three-point range. Taisa grabbed 7.5 rebounds per game and had 1.8 assists per game.

"We are extremely excited to have a player of Tasia's caliber joining our program. She has been one of the best junior college players in the country the last couple of years," remarked Head Coach Seton Sobolewski. "Kirkwood has one of the best, if not, the best, division II women's basketball programs in the country. They are led by legendary coach Kim Muhl who has over 1,000 career wins. Tasia has a great knack for scoring and is very athletic. "We have had a great time getting to know Tasia, her mom Beverly, and her coaches back in Illinois."
