POCATELLO, Idaho – After a year of hard work and dedication, the Idaho State Bengals wrapped up the 2023 Track and Field Season in Sacramento, Calif., Saturday afternoon at the NCAA West Region Championships.

Destinee Rose-Haas started the day in the women's discus, her second event of the meet. Her second throw of the day, 48.08m (157-9), was her day's best. The Bengal finishes 40th- best in the West.

Kylee Dimick wrapped up her successful season in the high jump Saturday afternoon. Dimick cleared 1.72m (5-7.75) to finish the meet tied for 24th in the NCAA West Region.

The Bengals finish the 2023 season with excellent growth in the ISU undergraduate class and a strong foundation of Big Sky Champions headed into next year.

Director of Track and Field Hillary Merkley Wrapping Up the Meet – "Destinee Rose Haas and Owen Mitchell wrapped up an incredible career this weekend at Idaho State.

Destinee dominated her senior year and consistently showed up and performed throughout Indoors and Outdoors. She is one of the best throwers to ever come through our program and she left her mark not only on our record books but on the Big Sky.

Owen was a three-time NCAA West Region qualifier and a Big Sky Champion Twice.

Both are exceptional individuals and leaders who will be missed next year. They are going to go on to do great things in their personal lives. We are really proud of them.

The remaining qualifiers have some more time with us and they gained some valuable experience this weekend. We are fortunate to have them back this next year and hope they can continue to spread their influence so we can get some others back here with them next year."
