POCATELLO, Idaho - Idaho State cross country begins its 2023 campaign this week in Orem, Utah at the Utah Valley Invitational.
The Bengals will compete against a group of talented Division I opponents. Both the men and women will race a 5K at the event.
Alongside the Bengals, opponents will come from Utah Valley University, Southern Utah University, Utah, Utah Tech and Weber State.
The women race at 9:00 am with the men's race to follow.
USTFCCCA Rankings
The first batch of regional rankings were released by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association this past week.
The Bengal men enter the season ranked 14th in the Mountain Region just behind Nevada and ahead of UTEP.
Big Sky Preseason Rankings
The Big Sky Conference released the preseason rankings for the 2023 season.
The Bengal men and women were both selected to finish 5th in the coaches poll. On the men's side the Bengals tied for fifth with EWU with 47 points received. On the women's side the Orange and Black were selected fifth with 42 points.
