POCATELLO, Idaho – The Bengal volleyball team is traveling to Tampa, Florida this weekend to participate in the University of South Florida tournament. In this tourney Idaho State will be playing in three matches. The first two are a doubleheader on Friday September 1st and the third is on Saturday September 2nd. The first match is against USF at 11 a.m. MT and the second match is against Mercer at 2:30 p.m. MT. The final match the Bengals will be playing in will be against Florida Gulf Coast University the following morning at 9 a.m. MT. This will be Idaho State's first ever matchup with all 3 of these schools.

Following the USF tournament the Bengals will be hosting UC Davis then a 3-team tournament of their own, bringing Utah Valley University and Gonzaga's volleyball teams to Pocatello September 7th - 9th.

- Bears' sophomore defensive specialist and libero, Abby Havrilla, leads the team with 38 digs
- Mercer's junior middle blocker, Skylar Bumpers, leads the team with 9 blocks this season
- The Eagles are 1-2 this season with a win against Ole Miss
- FGCU spreads the scoring out fairly evenly as they have five girls on the team who have 20 or 21 kills on the season
