ISU Athletics Halftime Feature (ISU Academic Fall and Spring Semesters)

The ROAR Report takes a look at ISU’s wonderful on-campus organizations. Each episode features an interview with an individual who is involved on campus within an organization to some extent and will include periodic interviews with ASISU leaders. We’ll cover various aspects of their organization, including how to get involved.

Roar Report is a short-interview series on KISU-FM focused on Idaho State University from a student's perspective. Many topics are covered on this show, and it features a variety of guests who serve in student government, portray diversity, and exemplify Idaho State University. Roar Report is also a platform for student organizations and clubs to discuss the activities and events they present.

  • KISU’s Ricky Colapietro interviews Megan Condie, a student studying biology at ISU’s Idaho Falls campus. Megan is the ASISU Idaho Falls Vice President. She has some experience with ASISU, and enjoys serving her campus. Megan’s favorite part about ASISU and ISU is the community, and enjoys the family-like nature of the Idaho Falls campus.
  • KISU’s Ricky Colapietro interviews Dr. Bolinger, a management professor within ISU’s College of Business. In this episode, they discuss the upcoming speaker Anthony Klotz, an associate professor at the University College of London in management. Anthony predicted and coined the term ‘the Great Resignation’. Anthony Klotz will be speaking Wednesday, February 15th at 7 PM at the Stephens Performing Arts Center in the Bistline Theater.
  • KISU’s Ricky Colapietro interviews Chance Reynolds, a secondary education major, about his involvement in ASISU. Chance is the senator for the College of Education, looking to run for the VP position. He shares his love for campus organizations such as Tau Kappa Epsilon, which he is the president of. Chance and Ricky talk about campus life and share some funny stories.
  • KISU’s Ricky Colapietro interviews Yassin Lumu, a medical lab sciences student in their senior year. Yassin is a senator for the College of Health Professions, and is also involved with the African Student Association. Ricky and Yassin talk about what he likes about ASISU and campus, as well as what Yassin wants to do in the future.
  • KISU’s Ricky Colapietro interviews Abeer Alqurashi, an MHE and MA/DA student at Idaho State about their involvement with ASISU and on campus. Abeer shares the joy she gets serving other people, and her gratitude towards ASISU. Abeer is the Graduate Studies senator for ASISU, and wears other hats on campus being involved in the International Affairs Council as well.
  • KISU’s Ricky Colapieto interviews Maele Christensen, a student studying medical lab sciences in their senior year. Maele shares what she does within ASISU as a senator and member of the finance committee. They also discuss the upcoming ASISU election, which has a deadline to apply to run for the senate on February 10th.

This episode features Dr. Diana Livingston Friedly, Miren Gabiola, and Jessica Moss. They cover the wonderful story of Cendrillon as well as the massive amount of work that went behind putting together this wonderful show.   • KISU’s Ricky Colapietro interviews Dawn Konicek, an Associate Clinical Professor with the College of Business about their upcoming Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA) running every Thursday January 26th through March 16th in Rendezvous room 213 5-9pm. This program provides a dual opportunity for students to get experience preparing tax returns, and allows those who can not afford income tax preparation to get their taxes done for free.
