Idahoans looking to start a new job can meet with nearly 30 Idaho employers at a job fair Thursday in Meridian.

Employers including H&R Block, Amazon, Boise State University and others will be at a hiring event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Ten Mile Christian Church, 3500 W. Franklin Road.

According to an Idaho Department of Labor press release, open positions include customer service representatives, retail sales associates, hospitality workers, direct support professionals, health care workers, warehouse packers and associates, and route drivers. Some positions include the opportunity to work remotely.

Job seekers should bring resumes and be prepared to meet and interview with employers, according to the release. Resume and interviewing tips can be found on the Department of Labor’s website at labor.idaho.gov.

Those who need special accommodation should contact Joe Goitiandia at 208-332-3575 ext. 3807 or by email at joe.goitiandia@labor.idaho.gov.

More information on job fairs and hiring events throughout the state can be found on the Department of Labor’s calendar of events.

This hiring event is sponsored by the Idaho Department of Labor. Attending a hiring event or job fair counts as one weekly valid work-search activity for unemployment insurance purposes.
