Ors Named Big Sky Player of the Week

Idaho State Six-Year Guard Estefania Ors has been named the Big Sky Conference women’s basketball player of the week.

Ors was dominant in the Bengals’ sweep of Montana and Montana State this week picking up the two wins and posting career numbers.

Ors averaged 24 points per game shooting 57.1 percent from the field and 61.5 percent from behind the three-point line. Ors also went a perfect 8-8 from the free-throw line and had 10 rebounds, eight assists and a steal.

In the Bengals 69-61 win over Montana, Ors scored a team-high 15 points on 40 percent shooting from the field and six-of-six from the line.

Ors had a career game in the Bengals’ 67-57 win over the Bobcats on Saturday. In 35 Minutes, she had 33 points on 12-of-18 shooting from the floor, a new career-best in field goals made and total points. She hit seven-of-12 from behind the arc, also a new career-best. She also had six boards, three assists and a steal.

With 45 seconds left in the game, Ors hit a pair of free throws to give the Bengals a 10 point advantage and close out the win.

Ors and the Bengals are back in action on Saturday, Jan. 8 when they head to Ogden to take on the Weber State Wildcats at 1:00 p.m.
