POCATELLO, Idaho - The Idaho State Bengals (16-14) fell to the Utah State Aggies in a mid-week battle in Logan, Utah Tuesday afternoon.

The Bengals struck first in the contest. Gracie Smith started the game for the Bengals with a lead-off double. Olivia Robison then brought her home on an RBI single to center field.

Lizzy Tommasini, pitching for the Orange and Black, settled into the circle and, leading the Bengal defense, went three up three down in the bottom of the 2nd.

In the top of the 4th, Idaho State scored another run as Kennedy Dudley took advantage of throwing errors and put together smart baserunning to advance from 2nd to home and cut the USU lead to 4-3.

Neither team found any ground in the fifth as Tommasini fanned another Aggie and the Bengal defense shut down USU to head to the sixth.

In the sixth, Madison Muxen came in as a pinch hitter and earned the title with a clutch triple that was placed perfectly down the left-field line. The triple was the sixth of the season for Idaho State and Muxen's first of the season and second of her career with ISU.
