Pocatello, ID - Chalk up your calendars, ISU, because the Bengals are back!
It's safe to say that the Bengals earned some time to rest and recuperate after an indoor season that featured highlight after highlight with ten new school records garnished with twenty-nine new top-10 marks and nine all-conference honors. But the wait is over, the preparation began, and it's time for the Bengals to venture out of the ICCU Dome and to the 2024 Outdoor Season.
Kyndal Martin, a human highlight reel during the indoor slate, will be venturing to the University of Oregon in Eugene to race in her first 100m Hurdles and 400m Hurdles of the year. Martin rewrote the school record books as a Big Sky Chamption for the Bengals, breaking the old 60mH record of 8.51 seconds five separate times, shattering the mark at the Conference Indoor Championships clocked at 8.28.
The meet will run from Fri-Sat, March 22-23, and both of Martin's races will be on Day 2.
At the same time, a mere 830 miles south along the California coast, an ambush of Bengals will be heading to Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA for the Jim Klein Multis and the Westmont Classic, joint meets running from March 21-23. A strong group from the Women's team will be competing in the Heptathlon.
Making their Bengal Outdoors debut will be Josie Settle, Libby Boden, and Meya Young. They will be bolstered by a talented veteran group that features Scarlet Arredondo Sosa, Kenadee Tracy, and Kaila Mederios
