POCATELLO, Idaho – The Bengals wrapped up the multi-events portion of the 2024 Big Sky Track and Field Championships Thursday afternoon in Bozeman, Montana. Two Bengals scored team points for the teams with Josie Settle finishing 5th in the heptathlon with 4731 points and Adam Jones coming in sixth in the decathlon with a score of 5194.
After DNFing in the 110mH, Jones roared back in the discus, winning the throw with a distance of 40.06m (131-05).
Jones then won another event in the Javelin with a heave of 52.29m (171-06) a new personal best. Jones ended the event taking first place in all three throwing events of the day.
The men earn three points from the event and the women's team earns four points
Idaho State kicks off the general track and field events tomorrow as the day starts with the men's javelin throw and the women's hammer throw.
