POCATELLO, Idaho – Gracie Smith has earned third-team All-Pacific Region honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) for her performance during the 2024 softball season.
Smith is the first Bengal since the 2019 season to earn all-region awards, the previous Bengal recipient being Aubrey Creekmore who netted third-team honors that year. Smith joins an illustrious group of eight Bengals who have earned all-region honors for the program.
Smith was a nightmare for opposing pitchers all season long. In her 47 games played, the Bengal junior hit .396 with a 1.080 OPS percentage. Smith had 57 hits in 144 at-bats with six doubles, three triples and six home runs.
Smith knocked in 26 RBIs and had 87 total bases on the year reaching an on-base percentage of .476.
Smith was a speedster on the bases stealing successfully 19-of-20 attempts on the season.
In the outfield, Smith had 65 putouts on the season with two assists.
