AI Integrates into Local Businesses, MOATiT Gives an Inside Look at Agents' Abilities

MOATiT

There is considerable noise around the AI industry and the multi-billion dollar investments in the sector. However, people right here in Pocatello like the computer scientists at MOATiT are taking AI technology to new heights.

MOATiT* is a Pocatello-based company that services businesses around the world in IT as well as AI integration. Their CEO, Ali Khan, explained that southeast Idaho has fallen behind in other waves of technological advancement, but his company is working to implement AI into all kinds of local businesses.

The vision is all about increasing productivity and efficiency in the workplace. The AI index reported use of AI in organizations jumped from 55% in 2023 to 78% in 2024.

Carisa Crosbie is a mental health therapist in Pocatello who uses AI on a daily basis at her job. She said a software feature called Therapyfuel uses integrative AI to complete progress notes for her clients. She can summarize her session and the AI will analyze it for her, creating a more efficient and faster workflow.

Khan says this kind of AI could help all local businesses, from the larger rental companies, to one-man band plumbers.

According to Businesswire, AI is projected to contribute 19.9 trillion dollars to the global economy by 2030. They’re also expecting it to drive 3.5% of global GDP. The AI renaissance is here, and it seems local companies have no choice but to adopt or fall behind.

Even therapist Carisa said she isn’t threatened by the AI boom, rather, she’s embracing it.

She explained with the shortage of mental health professionals, there are many barriers to getting help, and an AI therapist is free. She says most people will continue to prefer in person therapy or are hesitant to use AI for valid reasons.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics stated jobs most easily replicated by Generative AI will be primarily affected in the coming decade.
