FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – September 1, 2026 Bonneville County, Idaho – Bonneville County is inviting the community to share their facility experiences and priorities as the County, with advisory support from Clearwater Financial, develops a Master Facilities Plan and Comprehensive Financial Plan (MFP/CFP) to guide future decisions about its public facilities.
The MFP/CFP will evaluate the condition, use and future needs of County facilities and provide a long-term framework for decisions about maintenance, improvements, space needs, and funding strategies. The planning process combines facility assessments, input from County staff and feedback from the community to help County leaders establish priorities and ensure facilities continue to support efficient, accessible and effective public services.
“County facilities are where many of our residents interact directly with local government, so their experience in those spaces matters,” said Austin Black, Bonneville County Chief Operating Officer. “We want to hear what is working well, where people are experiencing challenges and what they believe should be priorities as we plan for the future.”
As part of the planning process, the County has launched a Community Facilities Survey to gather feedback on accessibility, parking, safety, building condition and functionality, and priorities for future improvements. The survey takes approximately five minutes to complete.
Community members are encouraged to complete the survey by October 31, 2026 so their feedback can be incorporated into the planning process.
