Don't Call it Jazz presents ISU Alum Gabe Lowman's new album: "Impossibility Reduced to Bricks"
For this episode of DCiJ, Jon Armstrong celebrates the new album from recent ISU graduate, Gabe Lowman: "Impossibility Reduced to Bricks". This four movement suite for piano trio was created by Lowman for his senior recital and final project.
This album features Gabe on piano and keyboards, DCiJ host Jon Armstrong on electric bass, and KISU's digital content manager Joseph Emmanuel on Drum Set.
We'll listen to the full suite, and chat with Gabe about the concepts behind the album.
The concept of releasing an album as a final project is the cornerstone of ISU's brand new Commercial Music degree, a concept that Lowman found very appealing. In the future, Armstrong will feature the albums of future Commercial Music student artists on Don't Call it Jazz.
