Dr Adam Bradford and President Robert Wagner at KISU-FM, 6/10/2026

Idaho State University President Robert Wagner sits down for a second time with Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Adam Bradford to unpack Idaho’s first public three-year bachelor’s degrees, ISU’s “Contract for Idaho,” and how Academic Affairs is reshaping student success, rural outreach, and faculty support.

In this episode of the Bold Path Podcast, Idaho State University President Robert Wagner welcomes back Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Adam Bradford for a deeper look at ISU’s academic enterprise and how it is evolving to meet Idaho’s needs. They explore ISU’s new three-year, 90‑credit Bachelor of Applied Science programs (the first offered by a public institution in Idaho) in law enforcement management and leadership, applied business and professional sales, and intelligent and trustworthy digital systems. They also discuss who these workforce‑focused degrees are designed to serve and what they are not intended to replace.

Dr. Robert W. Wagner began serving as the fourteenth president of Idaho State University on January 29, 2024. Prior to his appointment, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Utah State University, where he led strategic initiatives, enrollment management, and key aspects of the student experience, including recruitment, admissions, financial aid, retention, and completion. He also held several leadership roles within USU’s Provost’s Office, overseeing statewide campuses, academic programming, faculty development, and distance education, and has contributed nationally through service on advisory boards and higher education associations.
