In this first episode we will discuss how ISU is committed to Training Idaho’s next generation workforce. Joining me for this discussion is Jerry Anhorn, Dean of ISU’s College of Technology. Previously Jerry was the dean of transfer and trades at Walla Walla Community College (WWCC) and the director of the Water and environmental Center at WWCC. He has a bachelors degree in Agricultural mechanization and a Masters in Agricultural Science from Washington State University. Before his educational career, he was owner/operator of a landscape and irrigation company specializing in residential, commercial and sports field construction. His specialty area of work throughout his career is in the world of water rights and irrigation efficiencies.

Dr. Robert W. Wagner began serving as the fourteenth president of Idaho State University on January 29, 2024. Prior to his appointment, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Utah State University, where he led strategic initiatives, enrollment management, and key aspects of the student experience, including recruitment, admissions, financial aid, retention, and completion. He also held several leadership roles within USU’s Provost’s Office, overseeing statewide campuses, academic programming, faculty development, and distance education, and has contributed nationally through service on advisory boards and higher education associations.
