Tonya Wilkes is the current Director of Student Support and Athletics for the Pocatello School District #25. She began her journey in leadership as the principal and athletic director at Irvine Middle School here in Pocatello. Though, she wanted to do more. She wanted to create more opportunities for youth in athletics and so she climbed the ladder to where she is now and would not change a thing about it. She truly loves what she does and continues to persevere through tough times like the 2020 pandemic as well as the struggles of being a woman in leadership. None of that stopped her though and as you listen to her story, you can discover more about how she continues to advocate for student-athletes and changes that need to be made to make sport even greater!
