Host Matt Daily sits down with Jeremy Green, Idaho State University’s chief campus administrator for Eastern and Southern Idaho, to explore how regional campuses in Idaho Falls and Twin Falls connect rural communities to life-changing educational pathways. Green shares his own story as a first-generation student who left high school early, found his way back to college, and built a career in outreach, community development, and branch campus leadership across Wyoming and Oregon before joining ISU.
Green explains what his role entails; coordinating student services, academic programs, research support, facilities, and community engagement in Idaho Falls, while building deep partnerships with the College of Southern Idaho and local employers in the Magic Valley. He describes how ISU tailors health, engineering, education, and other programs to local workforce needs without losing a unified Bengal identity, giving place-bound students access to the same ISU experience at a different scale.
Throughout the conversation, Green emphasizes the transformative power of higher education in rural communities, the importance of collaboration with industry and K–12 partners, and his commitment as a current PhD student and parent to modeling lifelong learning for the next generation.
