KISU-FM to Air NPR's 1A Weekdays at 9:00 am

On Tuesday, October 6th KISU-FM will be making a significant change to its weekday linup during the 9:00 am hour. The program On Point will be replaced with the NPR program 1A.

KISU had planned to make the switch from On Point to 1A mid-month, but because of changes to On Point's delivery method KISU was forced to expedite the switch.

On Point recently anounced a change in distribution from National Public Radio (NPR) to American Public Media (APM), with the switch scheduled for January, 2021.
Part of On Point's planned changes include eliminating the live hour KISU had traditionally aired. KISU attempted to air On Point on Monday, October 5th using a file delivery method, which ultimately failed due to time zone coding within the audio files.
KISU regrets the lack of information regarding this change with our audience. Please contact Jamon Anderson, KISU Interim GM, by email with questions, comments, and requests for additional information. andejamo@isu.edu

1A is a show for a changing America. Every day, 1A convenes a conversation about the most important issues of our time. The show takes a deep and unflinching look at America, bringing context and insight to stories unfolding across the country and the world. With a name inspired by the First Amendment*, 1A explores important issues such as policy, politics, technology, and what connects us across the fissures that divide the country. The program also delves into pop culture, sports and humor. 1A’s goal is to act as a national mirror — taking time to help America look at itself and to ask what it wants to be.

The conversation isn’t just on air. 1A invites you to join in.  Listeners can interact with 1A on Twitter, Facebook, or by texting 1A to 1-844-777-7050.

1A is produced by WAMU 88.5, and distributed by NPR.
