Ryker is a wonderful musician, photographer, and composer and created a tremendous ambient album. Chrysalis is beautiful, harsh, powerful, and enveloping. Ryker crafted such a rich tapestry of layers and textures. It’s a unique and stunning listen.
The album features the compositions of Ryker Reese and performances by three of his classmates; Ben Graham on keyboard, Reese Thompson on guitar, and Brandt Moon on electronics.
Ryker and I discuss everything that went into making the album, the inspirations, the processes, the people, and the photographs. We then play the entire work in its entirety.
