    In this special edition of Double XX, we are celebrating Women's History Month! There are so many talented women in the music industry, and these five songs have been heavy on our guests rotations. With artists such as The Carpenters, Juice Newton, Madeline Edwards, Katie Gavin, and Yola making an appearance, this episode showcases some of the classics as well as modern talents.Warning:Before you listen, this episode discusses difficult topics such as depression and suicide, which may be upsetting to some listeners.
  • Bad Snacks, the artist name for musician Jesse Hanson, came to ISU in January of 2024 as our 3rd annual commercial music artist in residence. She worked directly with ISU Commercial Music students, producing an EP of their music. She returns this month, on March 20th, to perform with ISCS and the ISU Big Band.
  • On this episode, the band Loot came to the studio to talk about their new EP, released in December of 2025.We discussed the making of the record, the history of the band, things to do in Elco, and the Pocatello music scene.

  • For decades, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) has taken the lead in negotiating and administering systemwide music licensing agreements on behalf of public media. On October 29, CPB announced that it had reached new three-year agreements with the five major performing rights organizations, ensuring continued music use across public media platforms through December 31, 2027.
