Crucial Riddims: On April 20th

Tonight's show falls on an international holiday for some folk. It is April 20th and as such, today is a day that is celebrated by whom we may call brothers and sisters of the leaf. Dr. Henry Evans is here to celebrate reggae music that explores the importance of "herb", its criminalization, and possible decriminalization.

Note: This podcast is neither advocating for the decriminalization or criminalization of any substances. It is merely exploring reggae's connection to a marijuana.

I have been a lifelong lover of music and have had a 40 year love for reggae since I first heard the Bob Marley song Reggae on Broadway as a teenager and find it to be informative, inspirational and transformative. I am a native of Pocatello, and an alum and a former member of the ISU Track and Field Team. In my other life, I work in the Office of Equity and Inclusion and serve as an adjunct for ISU’s Political Science and Sociology departments.
