Beverly Hott

Beverly Hott serves as President of Career Technical Educators of Idaho (CTEI), the statewide professional organization representing career and technical educators, administrators, and partners dedicated to advancing high-quality CTE programs across Idaho.
Mrs. Hott is also the Coordinator of Career & Technical Education for School District 91 and Principal of the Career & Technical Education Center (CTEC) for Idaho Falls School District 91. In this role, she leads one of Idaho's most prominent regional CTE centers, serving students from Idaho Falls, Shelley, Firth, and Ririe.
Under her leadership, the District 91 CTEC has experienced significant growth in both enrollment and program offerings. The center provides immersive, hands-on career pathways aligned to local and statewide workforce needs, including welding, industrial mechanics, construction, law enforcement, cybersecurity, agriculture, culinary arts, firefighting, nursing assistant, pharmacy technician, and emergency medical services.
Mrs. Hott has championed a model that integrates classroom instruction with real-world application through required internships, apprenticeships, and industry-recognized certifications. This approach ensures students graduate with practical experience and credentials that directly support employment, military service, or postsecondary education.
As CTEI President, Mrs. Hott provides statewide leadership on CTE policy, educator support, and workforce alignment. She works closely with K-12 and postsecondary institutions, industry partners, and state agencies to strengthen career-connected learning and expand access to high-demand career pathways.
Her leadership includes establishing strategic industry partnerships, including a formal alliance with the U.S. Department of Labor and OSHA that enables students to earn OSHA safety certifications while still in high school. This partnership enhances workplace readiness in high-skill, high-risk occupations.
Mrs. Hott holds a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Western Governors University and brings extensive experience in instructional leadership, program development, and regional collaboration. She is widely recognized as a leader in career-connected learning and workforce-driven education across Eastern Idaho and the state.

Mark S. Young is a native of Idaho, a graduate of Idaho State University, a community organizer, and a financial professional. For over 30 years, Mark has supported economic development on both local and state levels. Recently he completed his term as a member of the Idaho Department of Commerce Economic Advisory Council. He is currently a board member/past president of The City Club of Idaho Falls and a past president of the Idaho Falls Rotary and Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce. Mark played a vital role in the development of the Idaho State University and University of Idaho Higher Education Center (University Place) in Idaho Falls. Additionally, Mark served for six years as a lay member of the Idaho State Bar Association’s Professional Conduct Board. He has two sons, both veterans who served in Iraq: Steven is a general contractor in Montana, and Adam is involved in security at the Idaho National Laboratory.
