On today’s episode, Emily Jahsman interviews Lisa McDougall, Research Associate at Idaho State University’s Molecular Research Core Facility. Originally from northern Idaho, Lisa used her natural curiosity and scientific instincts to navigate her career to the world of molecular biology. In her work Lisa helps extract data and information that is used in scientific research across the United States and around the globe, She also manages to train tomorrow’s scientists for the professional paths while instilling excitement for her scientific field.

A self proclaimed multipotentialite, Emily's professional journey has taken her from for-profit to non-profit to higher ed where she currently enjoys her time. Emily's intrepid spirit has led her across the globe including a five year stopover in Australia, treks through numerous jungles, and forays into farming.
