Pharmacy Fusion welcomes Dr. H. Steve White

Pharmacy Fusion features a very special guest this month, a two-time Idaho State alumnus and recent recipient of the College of Pharmacy Professional Achievement award. Dr. H. Steve White earned his bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy at Idaho State in 1977. Upon graduation he worked as a community pharmacist in Salmon, ID. Dr. White then returned to ISU where he graduated with a master’s degree in Pharmacology in 1979. He went on to earn a PhD in Pharmacology at the University of Utah where he rose through the academic ranks, after joining the College of Pharmacy faculty there in 1986. In 2016, Steve is now based at University of Washington School of Pharmacy as Chair of the Department of Pharmacy. His research is focused on understanding the factors that contribute to the initiation, propagation, and amelioration of seizure activity.

Walter L. Fitzgerald, Jr. serves as Dean of the College of Pharmacy, and Professor of Pharmacy Practice and Administrative Sciences, at Idaho State University. He received the Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy in 1979 from Mercer University School of Pharmacy in Atlanta. In 1982 he received the Master of Science in Pharmacy Administration from the University of Tennessee, College of Graduate Health Sciences, in Memphis. And in 1983 he received the Juris Doctor degree from the University of Memphis, School of Law.
