Her interest in sustainability stems from a love of nature and innovations. Her favorite topics in sustainability are agriculture and infrastructure.
  • Sean Gillim is a child alcoholic who found himself struggling with transitional stressors related to foster care, sexual abuse, and homelessness at a very young age. Facing numerous felony convictions and life-threatening health complications, Sean discovered recovery through a mandatory drug court program and enjoys serenity as a single parent. At present, Sean advocates recovery as a social media influencer.
  • Dan Miller is using his Military Veteran benefits to complete a graduate program at Idaho State University. Dan served gallantly as a Navy Hospital Corpsman in the Fleet Marine Forces. After his honorable discharge, Dan found himself redefined as a Veteran who battled with PTSD, alcoholism, substance abuse, and addiction. Dan found strength in Recovery, enjoys a life worth living, and is pursuing his MBA in Project Management.
  • Jean McGivney-Burelle joined Idaho State University in June of 2020 as Professor and Dean of the College of Education. Jean has more than two decades of experience in higher education. Her scholarly work is focused on the teaching and learning of mathematics and she has served as PI or Co-PI on STEM education grants totaling more than $2 million. Jean is a Mathematical Association of America Project NExT Fellow, a National Network for Educational Renewal Fellow, and a participant in the 2016-17 HERS Leadership Institute. She holds a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Hartford, an M.S. in Mathematics from Northeastern University, and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Connecticut.
  • Walter L. Fitzgerald, Jr. serves as Dean of the College of Pharmacy, and Professor of Pharmacy Practice and Administrative Sciences, at Idaho State University. He received the Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy in 1979 from Mercer University School of Pharmacy in Atlanta. In 1982 he received the Master of Science in Pharmacy Administration from the University of Tennessee, College of Graduate Health Sciences, in Memphis. And in 1983 he received the Juris Doctor degree from the University of Memphis, School of Law.
  • I have been a lifelong lover of music and have had a 40 year love for reggae since I first heard the Bob Marley song Reggae on Broadway as a teenager and find it to be informative, inspirational and transformative. I am a native of Pocatello, and an alum and a former member of the ISU Track and Field Team. In my other life, I work in the Office of Equity and Inclusion and serve as an adjunct for ISU’s Political Science and Sociology departments.

A self proclaimed multipotentialite, Emily's professional journey has taken her from for-profit to non-profit to higher ed where she currently enjoys her time. Emily's intrepid spirit has led her across the globe including a five year stopover in Australia, treks through numerous jungles, and forays into farming.     Former Host: Mark Beaver is a Career Advisor in Experiential Learning for the Idaho State University Career Center. An ever curious mind has led Mark down quite the path himself, holding jobs with the service industry, the outdoor sector, secondary education, environmental non-profits, and state and federal agencies, with forays into entrepreneurship and now higher education and radio.
  • Ailie Maclean was born and raised in Alaska but moved to Kimberly, Idaho right before high school. Ailie is an undergraduate Political Science and Global Studies major at ISU. She is going into her last year at ISU as Vice President of Idaho State’s student government, ASISU, and has served as an Honors Program Mentor, Communications Envoy, and ASISU Supreme Court Justice in past years. In her free time she enjoys reading, longboarding, hiking, watching anime, and swimming in unique places (Silfra in Iceland for example). Ailie plans on studying environmental, or some variation of international law, after taking a gap year to travel and work abroad.
