The Idaho Capital Sun is a nonprofit news organization delivering accountability reporting on state government, politics and policy in the Gem state. As longtime Idahoans ourselves, we understand the challenges and opportunities facing Idaho. We provide in-depth reporting on legislative and state policy, health care, tax policy, the environment, Idaho’s explosive population growth and more. Our mission is relentless investigative journalism that sheds light on how decisions in Boise and beyond are made and how they affect everyday Idahoans. We aim to tell untold stories and provide data, context and analysis on the issues that matter most throughout the state. The Capital Sun is part of States Newsroom, a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit supported by grants and a coalition of donors and readers. We retain full editorial independence.

Eizaak Jordan
Eizaak Jordan
Eizaak Jordan was born and raised in McCall, Idaho. He spent summers in Yellowpine, Idaho, near the Frank Church Wilderness Area. Eizaak's days were characterized by interacting with the natural world in both locations, curating his passion for Idaho’s ecosystems. He is currently an ISU Political Science student and President of ISU’s Sustainability Club. After graduation, he will be applying for a graduate program in environmental politics, which will hopefully open opportunities to gain full employment doing environmental advocacy. Eizaak spends his free time reading, cooking, and fly fishing.

Dr. Zac Gershberg is an associate professor of journalism and media studies at Idaho State University. He teaches courses such as Media Literacy, Business & Political Reporting, Feature Writing, and Mass Media History, Law, and Ethics. His research focuses on the evolution of journalism, media technology, and political communication.

Dr. David Adler
David Gray Adler is President of The Alturas Institute, a non-profit organization created to promote the Constitution, gender equality, and civic education. A recipient of teaching, writing and civic awards, Adler has lectured nationally and internationally, and published widely, on the Constitution, presidential power and the Bill of Rights. He is the author of six books, including, most recently, The War Power in an Age of Terrorism, as well as more than 100 scholarly articles in the leading journals of his field. He is currently writing a book on the landmark Supreme Court decision in Reed v. Reed, which had its origins in Idaho and transformed the law for American women. Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg will write the foreword to the book, the research and writing of which is supported by a research fellowship from the Idaho Humanities Council.

Dr. Wadsworth is the Executive Associate Dean for the College of Pharmacy and Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administrative Sciences.
Jerry Anhorn
Jerry Anhorn
Gerald (Jerry) Anhorn began his role as Dean of the College of Technology at ISU on August 14th. Jerry previously served as the Dean of Workforce Transfer and Trades at Walla Walla Community College. Prior to serving in that role, he served as the Director of the Water and Environmental Center and Instructor of Water Management, Irrigation and Civil Engineering. Jerry also holds degrees in Agriculture Science and Agriculture Mechanization. He has been involved in landscape architecture and irrigation construction design. Jerry's wife is a middle school math teacher and they have 3 grown children. Family is very important to Jerry. He also enjoys restoring old 4 X 4 vehicles and anything to do with the outdoors.

Jessa is in her final year of her undergraduate career, pursuing three majors: English with Creative Writing, History, and Global Studies with an emphasis in French Language and Literature. She is a published author through ISU's Black Rock & Sage literary magazine and hopes to join the Sustainability Club at ISU. Her sustainability journey began with her year abroad when she interned for Letters to the Earth, an organization dedicated to environmental sustainability. She hopes to work for Amnesty International until she can write books in the mountains full time.
Nathan Gregson
Nathan Gregson
Nathan Gregson is one of 2 Sustainable Idaho hosts for 2023-2024. He is a current student at ISU in the college of Business with a minor in music and is the drummer for the ISU Jazz band. In his down time Nathan loves to spend time outside doing activities such as hiking and camping. In doing this radio show Nathan is able to express his love for nature and help the community take better care of it. His life goal is to run his own private Drum and Piano lessons in Denver, Colorado.
Martin Blair
Martin Blair
Martin Blair joined Idaho State University in 2022 as the Vice President for Research and Economic Development. Dr. Blair began his career as a special education teacher. Then, spent two decades at the Utah State University Center for Excellence in Disabilities in a variety of research and training leadership roles. In 2013, he moved to Missoula, Montana where he spent nine years directing the University of Montana Rural Institute for Inclusive Communities. In these various roles, Dr. Blair has worked extensively across the U.S. to improve the quality of services, supports and policies for individuals with disabilities of all ages, and their families.
