This episode of Don’t Call it Jazz will provide a full preview of the upcoming ISU Jazz Fest, happening on Friday February 7th and Saturday February 8th featuring the wonderful musician, world-percussionist and drummer Randy Gloss coming from Los Angeles.
Randy has toured the world with various projects and artists, performing on a wide array of world-music hand percussion instruments and drums. He is also a brilliant educator, and a former mentor of mine from Cal Arts. We are so honored and thrilled to have Randy here to work with ISU students, faculty, as well as local high school music programs.
We invite you to check out the festivities:
Friday February 7th, Jazz Fest Club Night at Station Square in Old Town Pocatello from 7-9pm, free admission
Saturday February 8th, Jazz Fest Concert at Jensen Concert Hall at the Stephen’s Performing Arts Center, ticketed event
