Don't Call It Jazz: Roar Fest

For the past three years, the ISU Commercial Music Program has hosted a City Creek Records Showcase concert at the end of the academic year. This has been a way to feature all the dynamic and amazing talent in the program, artists of the City Creek Records label

This year, however, we’re doing something bigger! Students and faculty have collaborated together to put on Roar Fest, a music festival on the ISU Quad featuring 8 hours (?!) of exciting sets from ISU Commercial Music students

Friday, May 1st, join us on the Quad from 2 pm-10pm to hear an awesome lineup of great music by great musicians. In this episode, I’ll discuss the festival, and play music from all of these incredible acts.

1, “Melt” by Carsten Kottraba, 2:38

2, “If It Wasn’t For Gravity, You’d Make Me Float” by Cesar Ruiz, 3:54

3, “Bald Logic” by Anglerfish, 5:13

4, “The Return” by Khorvai, 6:29

5, “Chrysalis” by The Ben Graham Group, 9:23
