In the 1st piece, we learn about Elise’s involvement with the IFCGA and some benefits that these organic gardens have for the community and for individuals. Mentorship and support for beginner gardeners are major benefits! These gardens are open to any adults or families. Season fees and gardener responsibilities are touched on.
The second piece discusses the partnership with the City of Idaho Falls, the locations and plot sizes available for gardeners, and the organic gardening classes that the IFCGA hosts for beginner and seasoned gardeners each January through early March. Several resources that are locally relevant can be found at the IFCGA website.
In the final piece, Elise discusses how now is a good time to start community gardens if your area doesn’t have one already. The IFCGA’s community outreach and this season’s Garden Registration are also highlighted.
