ISU Onstage" a brand new radio show that highlights the wealth of talent right here on our campus. Join us every Friday evening at 7pm to enjoy music, theatre, and other exciting collaborations performed by ISU students and faculty.

We will be listening to ISU student Gabe Lowman’s senior piano recital. Gabe is a talented student who graduated in December of 2020. The recital features an eclectic program of works from the classical, romantic, and modern era. Gabe Lowman was a student of Dr. Kori Bond.

For the February 5th episode of ISU Onstage we will be listening to a recital from March of 202 by ISU professor Dr. Hyeri Choi. Dr. Choi serves as ISU’s violin and viola professor, and the concertmaster of the Idaho State Civic Symphony.

For tonight’s program, we will be listening to the fall concert from the ISU Percussion Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Thom Hasenpflug. This ensemble is made of students from Dr. Hasenpflug’s percussion studio, and this performance features a mix of contemporary and classic works.


  

This week, ISU Onstage will present a performance from February 9th, 2018 by the Idaho State-Civic Symphony, under the direction of Dr. Julie Sorensen. This performance features works by Mozart, Khatchaturian (caught-cha-turian), and Wagner (vagner) as well as Rachmaninoff’s (rock-mawn-e-noff) “Concerto number 2 for Piano and Orchestra” featuring the brilliant pianist Natalia Lauk.
