Feeding the 5000 Families Dinner

The 28th Annual Feeding the 5000 Families Campaign in Pocatello is April 12, from 5:30 pm - 7:30 PM at the LDS Caldwell Park Building on the 700 block of E. Lewis Street in Pocatello. McKenzie speaks with Jolene Barnett Stephens and Kia Shaw about this community collaboration. There is a meal provided by local faith communities and meaningful conversations about food insecurity.

This powerful initiative raises funds and awareness for The Idaho Foodbank. The Progressive Dinner is put together by a sub-committee of the Portneuf Valley Interfaith Fellowship. It is considered to be one of the longest, continuously run food drives in the U.S. Tickets are available in advance at FEEDING THE 500, or at the event at the NeighborWorks Pavilion at Caldwell Park in Pocatello.

McKenzie began working at the station in 2003 while moseying her way through her undergraduate degree in Communication and Rhetorical studies [2012]. Her outgoing personality and involvement in various activities makes for a perfect fit to promote campus and community organizations and events*.
