CJ Morrison
Host of Alternative SchoolI have been invading East Idaho's airwaves since 1997, close to 20 years was spent being a DJ and production director for a local classic rock station (KMGI-FM), and programming sports radio and ISU Football and Men's Basketball (KSEI-AM). The stations were sold in November 2014, and I joined the KISU-FM staff part-time in August 2015. Alternative School premiered on April 1, 2016, and I have been very fortunate to be able to share my love of classic New Wave, Alternative, Punk, Ska, and more with KISU's listeners--while getting an education about the artists and songs myself!

The best weekend of the summer is almost here--Shady Grove--and this week's Alternative School is giving you a sneak peek of what's coming to FMC Park in Pocatello on July 18th & 19th. Tune in as CJ breaks format (a little bit) to share local and regional bands like Strumbucket, Roseburg, The Painted Roses, and Snoozy Moon. All the event details and an artist playlist are at shadygrovemusiccamp.com! -
CJ pays tribute to artists we lost in 2024...that were influential to, influenced by, or part of the Alternative School world. It's a musical celebration of life, with tunes from World Party, Mojo Nixon, Ultravox, My Chemical Romance, and more! -
Shady Grove is CJ's favorite weekend of the year! Alternative School will inform you about (and play) some of the artists who will be performing at FMC Park in Pocatello July 19-20.
